Right in front of the hotel, snorkle in the natural fish pools and corals, with a fisherman and his Jangada or by foot. You may come back with an octopus or a fish that we will gladly prepare for your lunch.

At an hour and a half walk through the forest, the little fisherman village of Garapua will lend you its magnificent beach, its small church and its fish. You will also meet its fishermen and its craftmen and women.

Canoeing from the hotel, you can paddle trough the great mangrove nearby and observe its fauna and flora.

The island of Boipeba deserves a full-day: a succession of fine sand beaches, Guido's barraca and its famed lobsters, and the little pitoresque museum of Emilio the fisherman in the village at the north tip of the island.

On the other side of the island, the journey to Gamboa, another typical village, also offers an nice suite of beaches, one of them being renowned for its pink clay bath, running from the cliff right above.

A zodiac, with a roof to protect you from the sun, will take you on a tour of the archipelago (Tinharé, Cairu, Boipeba) and will show you more natural fish pools, the island of Boipeba (a 2-hour stop), and Cairu's convent.

A simple walk on the beach to Morro de São Paulo will get you though a few nice mangrove spots, unless you'd rather go on horseback or in a carriage.
